A year old, but a VERY interesting find. Mr. Pinetti was a guest speaker at the Ecocity World Summit 2008. He spoke about the Kimpton traditions, current initiatives, and future strategies to promote eco-friendly boutique lodging. This year, the Ecocity World Summit 2009 was held in Istanbul, Turkey from December 13-15th. So sorry my invite was lost in the mail!

ROW for CLEAN Water!
Pictured above is Katie Spotz. She will ring in the New Year with a little boat trip across the Atlantic Ocean to raise money for a clean water campaign. Spotz will disembark from Africa sometime as soon as next week. She is very close to exceeding her fundraising goal of $40,000. Learn more about her cause at her website.
